Nicole and Logan, and their two littles were so sweet! I enjoyed every minute of this photo-shoot from the moment their 4 year old jumped out of the car, and immediately held my hand, ’till we waved goodbye.
I love being able to capture a moment in time for people that they can look back on and cherish for many years. And I endeavor to facilitate my photo-shoots being more than just posing and a few pictures snapped — I want it to actually be a fun and sweet memory for the kids and parents alike, not stressful and stiff.
We had to reschedule this shoot due to the rain on the original date we had picked, and I was praying desperately that the Lord would preserve the sweet lupins in the spot I had chosen for field photos, because I wanted that sweet, springtime on Prince Edward Island feel….and lupins are just so perfectly PEI.
I was not disappointed; the lupins remained in full bloom through the day of the shoot, and then just a day or two later, many had already gone to seed! SO thankful I got to capture some photos that included the lupins before they were gone.
Their daughter had fun hunting around for various fun “props” I had hidden around one of the locations we took pictures at, including bubbles, a story-book, and nail polish!
It was the sweetest thing; she couldn’t stop saying, “I haven’t ever done THIS before,” her eyes aglow! And she LOVED having her daddy paint her toes on a picnic blanket amidst the trees!!
There’s just something so precious about capturing the bond of family…and I am always so honored to be the one chosen to be a part of such a beautiful moment.
